How It All Started
NITRA Agency opened its doors back in 2016 with a pretty simple idea: nobody should have to waste an entire day at the DMV just to renew their registration or transfer a title. Our founder, Delila, had seen too many people in the community struggling with paperwork, confusing forms, and long wait times. She knew there had to be a better way.
So she started small. One office, a handful of services, and a commitment to treating every person who walked through the door like family. Eight years later, that same commitment is still at the heart of everything we do.
What We Actually Do
People sometimes ask us, "So, are you guys like a DMV office?" The short answer is: we do everything the DMV does, plus a whole lot more. Here's a quick rundown.
DMV Registration Services
This is where it all started. We handle vehicle registrations, renewals, title transfers, duplicate titles, out-of-state transfers, and planned non-operation filings. Most of these take about 20 to 30 minutes in our office. Compare that to a 2 to 3 hour wait at the actual DMV, and the choice is pretty easy.
Auto Insurance
We're an independent insurance agency, which means we work with multiple carriers instead of just one company. That lets us shop around and find you the best rate. We write liability policies, full coverage, SR-22 filings (same day), commercial vehicle insurance, and more. If you qualify, we can also help you apply for California's Low Cost Auto Insurance Program (CLCA), which offers coverage starting around $300 to $600 a year.
Live Scan Fingerprinting
Need a background check for work, a professional license, or a volunteer position? We're a certified Live Scan provider. Results go directly to the DOJ and FBI electronically, so you get your clearance faster than with ink-and-roll fingerprinting.
Notary Public
Whether you need documents notarized for a real estate closing, a power of attorney, or any other legal matter, our commissioned notary is available during regular business hours. No appointment needed.
Tax Preparation
We prepare personal and business tax returns, and we also handle ITIN applications for individuals who need a tax identification number. Our team stays current on California and federal tax law so you get every deduction you're entitled to.

We started in Hawaiian Gardens, and that's still our home base. But as demand grew, we opened a second location in Gardena to serve more of the LA County community.

Both offices are open Monday through Friday from 10am to 6pm, and Saturdays from 10am to 3pm.
